Water Sports
The Vltava River floating through Český Krumlov is the undisputed Queen of rivers. It is calm and friendly to beginners. Try to conquer famous weirs of Krumlov on a rubber raft. It will take you half a day and show you the town from another perspective. For a longer trip, sail down to Zlatá Koruna with its famous monastery. Ask our receptionists for help in arranging shorter or longer boat trips.
Walking Trips
You can take several nice walking trips out of town. Take a well-trodden path up to the Kleť mountain (in season, a retro cable car can shorten the last leg of your trip). Your reward: a splendid view and a cool beer from local tavern. For a shorter trip, follow the traditional “Way of the Cross”, marked with little monuments, up to Křížová hora (Cross Hill). Indoor Sports
Our active guests need not be bored if the weather turns nasty. In Český Krumlov, we have a swimming hall, a half-covered ice-skating ring (skates for hire on the spot) and a perfectly appointed tennis center with outside and indoor courts. What about a round of bowling? All of these locations are within easy walking distance from the hotel.
Runners´ World
Perhaps you are a running enthusiast. From our own running experience, here are a few routes you can try. Easy trail (no hills): along the Vltava River across a unique covered wooden footbridge in the Nové Spolí and Větřní directions (about 5 km one way) or in the opposite direction towards Kájov on the cycling path. Challenging uphill runs: through Jelenka parking lot, take the back route to Castle garden, or up the Křížový vrch (Cross Hill).
